A regular feature here on The Daily Driver Project is the “Street Spot.” We love seeing vintage cars as daily drivers, out on the streets where they belong. When we see a vintage car worth sharing, we’ll post it as a Street Spot. Sometimes it will be a beauty, sometimes it will be a beater, but then again – even the beater cars are beautiful to us!

So why is this beautiful Corvair sad? Check out the windshield, ouch. I found this beauty hangin’ in a shop waiting to get new glass put in. I don’t know what hit it, but if it was while being driven, I would guess it scared the crap out of the driver.

Both the 1st and 2nd Gen Corvairs are timeless GM designs. Put a V8 in a 65′ and have always wanted to put a Jeep Cherokee 4-WD under a 1st Gen Wagon. Owned a 66′ Convert which my brother still has.
