A classic hot rod is not always the type of car you’d expect to find at a fancy Concours event, but here these were, basking in the sun, enjoying their rightful place on the lawn at this year’s Palos Verdes Concours d’Elegance.

This race-inspired 1932 Ford has some awesome details, like the Moon tank in the front or the features on the flat head. This Ford was an all-around beautiful package.

This fantastic flat black truck seems clean and simple, until you get to the shift knob – a skull with a bullet in the head – a fun and gruesome change from the rest of the truck.

One of the cleanest rods we have seen in a long time was this 1933 Roadster. Every detail was perfectly executed and themed, right down to the driving goggles and gloves.

There is more to come so don’t change that dial!
