A regular feature here on The Daily Driver Project is the “Street Spot.” We love seeing vintage cars as daily drivers, out on the streets where they belong. When we see a vintage car worth sharing, we’ll post it as a Street Spot. Sometimes it will be a beauty, sometimes it will be a beater, but then again – even the beater cars are beautiful to us!

We spotted this Valiant in Whittier by Ruby’s Diner – a classic convertible perfect for the Southern California weather.

My Mom, had one of these new in Blue, she traded a new 63′ problematic Pontiac Lemans convertible in for it. She had many new cars in her time, everything from an A100 Austin and Sunbeam Rapier to Turbo Buicks. She passed a few weeks ago not having driven her beloved Chrysler 300 in many years now.

Sad to hear about your Mom, but it is great that she had all those fantastic cars and the memories that go with owning them.
